It just reminds me of what life is truely about...enjoy every moment. Lately there has been a lot going on that muddy our thoughts and keep us from being thankful for the day and living in the moment. <3

He was not very creative and left quite the mess. Caden will probably not be happy about this. He hand-picked this pumpkin at the farmers market a few weeks ago.

Spring Lake was sooo beautiful on my drive back from dropping Caden off from school. The funny thing is that i would've missed seeing this if the car didn't need gas.

Right after this a turkey walked up so close to the car...but i missed getting that pic...he was too quick.

So many things to be thankful for. Not just the beauty of nature, but God keeping Paul safe. On his flight this morning they had to do two fly byes of the tower to insure the landing gear was down. Thank you God for keeping that flight safe.

I stopped reading my daily devotional a couple of months ago, I guess it was a un-needed summer break. Paul, Caden and I had a movie-a-thon last night. Its a little tradition where we get our pillows and blankets and get comfy and watch a few movies. Phone rings...total honesty now...we hit ignore...it rings again, well maybe somethings up, we answer. It just was something that turned the whole mood around. Enough said on that.

Back to the devotional, I have been very upset today no matter who tries to cheer me up or what loving little kitten curls up on my lap and purrs himself to sleep:-) .....I read my devotional, and it was the kind of devotional I needed to remind me to stop being so, well, myself. Fearful.

Proverbs4:25 "look straight ahead with honest confidence and don't hang your head in shame" basically you already dealt with it, move on. Stop dwelling. Enjoy today, because tomorrow isn't promised.

We went thru a period of time where Paul was unemployed and I have always feared that happening, especially with the economy. But I put the brakes on enjoying life, I fear it. This last year has been real rough. I had pretty bad skin cancer and just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis on top of other things that just seemed to force me into a shell.

Long story short, kinda, we went on to enjoy our last night together before Paul flew out for his work, but I have been in the dumps all day until I read those few simple words from my devotional. There are a lot of things out there to enjoy...if I stop putting the weight of the world on my shoulders and let God perform his miracles.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07692081818416227519noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7452396517020632881.post-30213593741720840342012-09-04T13:06:00.001-07:002012-09-04T13:06:57.181-07:00No Paparazzi Well it has come, the unofficial end of summer and the beginning of another school year. This is Caden's sixth grade official first day of school picture. Um, he was not thrilled, obviously.....
He absolutely would not smile, I was embarrassing him even though there were a lot of other parents doing the same. Our Caden, one of a kind and stubborn as his parents combined!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07692081818416227519noreply@blogger.com1
